About Campaign
Narishakti operated as a cornerstone program under the umbrella organisation *Work for Better Society* that aims to empower the socially marginalized women in rural Bangladesh. The programme targets women’s socio-economic empowerment by way of skill development, education and financial assistance. In this context, Narishakti intends to promote financial self-sufficiency and sustainable means of earning by imparting skills training on, for instance, dressmaking, crafts, and opening up small scale businesses.
Donation Details
Furthermore, the project shall sensitize communities on women’s rights, women’s health and resource accessibility in order to build a critical mass of women who are capable of causing change in their communities. The program suggests that by providing women with the essential supplies and education, Narishakti hopes that rural women will eventually be able to take charge of their communities and support the betterment of Bangladesh in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals in particular the gender equality and no poverty agendas.
